Continued Investment Means The Investments Mature
God started this blog with a thought.
The thought “continued investment means your investments mature”.
Often times God will start me off with a one liner because He knows my heart can grasp it and He can dig deep with it.
After the one liner, as in God fashion, He applies it scripturally.
He took me to Galatians 6:9.
We all know it.
Galatians 6:9 says For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. (KJV)
How many of you have ever noticed that this is in direct correlation to servitude?
Go back to Galatians 6 and just read verse 1-8.
Paul is talking about walking with a brother who is struggling.
He also admonishes us to be careful about boasting ourselves and not helping one another.
There is some goodness packed in these short 9 verses.
This is why it’s so important to stay in context of the scripture. Galatians 6:9 can be applied in so many ways but when you look at the actual meaning
here it takes on a whole different light for todays Christian walk.
We often recite scriptures all “willy nilly”!
The actual meanings are often times so much deeper and richer!!!
So is the case for Galatians 6:9
Let me go ahead and type it out! You may be where you can’t get your Bible out!
So this simple thought of “continued investments means the investment matures”, God had placed on my heart
is all about serving other brothers and sisters who are struggling! God needed me to get ahold of this in my life obviously.
I love what verse 3 ways, “if I think I am something when I am not”.
Y”all… Jesus had Paul type it out for all us girls who get too big for our britches.
I am to be super careful about my own arrogance because I sure can deceive myself in my own goodness and holiness. (insert the gag reflex here).
These scriptures also tell me I can get tired bearing the burdens of other family members
but if I will continue to invest… the investment will mature !!!
You might say, “what do you mean Marni”?
How does the investment of giving grace to others “mature”.
If you read over the verses closely you will see, “whatever we sow we reap”.
THERE IS THE MATURITY !!!
Man, ladies that’s an added benefit I want. To be gracious means I am going to receive grace!
I want to sow grace by the bucketfuls.
This is not why we do it but what a blessing on the other side of obedience we will receive.
I will fall short more times than I hit the mark so I am so thankful for that added dividend.
I love how the body of Christ works.
I know as I am an example of grace and loving others during their struggled seasons that God will use that and they will in turn sow grace in the lives of others.
This kind of investment just keeps maturing!!!
Do you see how that can and does happen?
It’s kind of like the thought, “paying it forward”!
Paying it forward wasn’t just a movement that happened in the 90s!
Jesus paid it forward on the cross by loving us in the middle of our sin… in the middle of our struggle before we had even come to Him.
We get the great pleasure of looking just like Christ
by bearing with them through their burdens and restoring them in a spirit of gentleness!
I’m in for that ladies! SIGN A SISTA UP!
This was super short but super rich is everyday application.
You reap what you sow…..in loving a falling brother!
REMEMBER:
Continued investments means the investment matures!
